Zapier / Fathom Integration

Beta

Connect Fathom to automatically import and analyze your sales calls. Choose either direct webhook or Zapier integration.

How It Works

1. Sales Call Ends

Fathom records and transcribes your call

2. Webhook Fires

Fathom sends transcript data to AutomateObjections

3. Auto-Import

Transcript is saved and matched to user account

4. AI Analysis

L.E.A.D scoring and objection analysis runs automatically

Option 1: Direct Fathom WebhookRecommended
Connect Fathom directly to AutomateObjections. Simplest setup, no third-party needed.

Setup Instructions:

  1. 1

    Go to Fathom Settings

Open Fathom → Settings → API Access

  2. 2

    Generate an API Key

If you don't have one yet, click "Generate API Key"

  3. 3

    Add Webhook

Click "Manage" → "Add Webhook" and paste the webhook URL above

  4. 4

    Configure Triggers

Select "My recordings" and "Shared with team recordings" to trigger on

  5. 5

    Include Transcript Data

Make sure "Include transcript" is enabled. Optionally enable "Include summary" and "Include action items"

  6. 6

    Save and Test

Save the webhook, then record a short 2-minute test call. It should appear in your Call History within a few minutes.

Option 2: Zapier Integration
Use Zapier to connect Fathom to AutomateObjections. More flexible - add custom filters, delays, or connect other apps in the workflow.

Setup Instructions:

  1. 1

    Create a New Zap

Go to zapier.com and create a new Zap

  2. 2

Set Trigger: Fathom → "New Recording"

Search for "Fathom" as the trigger app and select "New Recording" as the trigger event. Connect your Fathom account.

  3. 3

Set Action: Webhooks by Zapier → "POST"

Add an action step. Search for "Webhooks by Zapier" and select "POST".

  4. 4

    Configure the POST Action

Set the URL to the Zapier Webhook URL above. Set "Payload Type" to JSON. Map these fields:

    title → Fathom "Title"
    meeting_title → Fathom "Meeting Title"
    url → Fathom "URL"
    created_at → Fathom "Created At"
recorded_by_email → Fathom "Recorded By Email"
recorded_by_name → Fathom "Recorded By Name"
transcript_text → Fathom "Transcript" (full text)
    summary → Fathom "Summary" (optional)
  5. 5

    Test and Turn On

Test the Zap to make sure data flows correctly, then turn it on. New Fathom recordings will automatically appear in Call History.

Important Notes
  • User Matching: The "recorded_by" email from Fathom must match the email on a connected Fathom integration in AutomateObjections. Make sure each team member has connected their Fathom account on the Import page.
  • Transcript Required: The webhook must include the transcript. Without it, the call cannot be analyzed.
  • Auto-Analysis: Once imported, AI analysis (including L.E.A.D scoring) runs automatically. Results appear in the call's Analysis tab.
  • Duplicates: The system does not currently check for duplicate imports. If you have both direct webhook and Zapier set up, you may get duplicate entries.
Quick Test
Verify your webhook is working by checking recent imports

After setting up the webhook, record a short 2-minute test call in Fathom. Within a few minutes, it should appear in your Call History with source labeled as "fathom".
